Downtown Mixed-Use Development
Thriving downtowns often contain a variety of uses, bringing together retail, apartments, and other amenities together to create a vibrant atmosphere. To that end, the Main Street Mile Initiative includes a significant mixed-use development, planned to infill a currently vacant block in Downtown Upland between a historic building and a space currently occupied by Upland’s Town Hall and public library. Planned to include a variety of uses, the development will feature ground-floor retail spaces and market-rate apartments above. If you are interested in a retail space and would like to be placed on an interest list, please reach out to hello@uplandmainstreet.org
Public Library Expansion
Upland’s public library sees one of the highest per-capita usage rates in the state, but is currently constrained by a shortage of space. As part of the Main Street Mile Initiative, the public library’s square footage will be nearly doubled, providing space for additional programming and educational offerings.
Destination Restaurant
The Main Street Mile Initiative will bring a destination restaurant to Downtown Upland, meeting the needs of the community and serving as an economic driver for years to come. If you are interested in relocating your restaurant to Upland or are curious about starting a new venture here, please reach out to hello@uplandmainstreet.org
